Story

From The Designer’s Desk

"I discovered the world of leather goods at the age of thirteen.
My father was a master leather craftsman. From an early age, he passed on to me a deep appreciation for leather, traditional craftsmanship, and beautifully made objects. I was immediately fascinated by handbags, their construction, their lines, their details, and the way they become part of a woman's everyday life.
I often sat at Café de Flore or Café de Paris, watching women pass by-or rather, watching their handbags. I observed how they carried them, the elegance they conveyed, and the relationship they had with these objects. It was during this time that I began sketching my very first designs.
For thirty-five years, my brother and I ran an artisanal workshop specialising in handbags crafted from exotic leathers. I designed each collection, which quickly gained recognition throughout France.
During the 1980s, our creations also achieved great success in Japan. This international recognition marked a significant milestone in my career and reinforced my desire to continue creating.
In 2000, part of our company, together with my expertise, became part of Le Tanneur. The House entrusted me with the design of its handbag collections.
It was a defining moment in my career and a true recognition of the years I had devoted to my passion for leather craftsmanship."

A New Chapter With TRIO

Throughout my journey, I have had the privilege of collaborating with some of the world's most renowned fashion houses, including Balmain, Yves Saint Laurent, Jean Paul Gaultier, Renoma, Carven, and Givenchy.
Today, I continue this story by collaborating with an Indian luxury leather goods house whose creations are primarily crafted for international markets.
After all these years, my perspective remains unchanged. I continue to observe, to sketch, and to imagine handbags designed to transcend time, cultures, and borders.

Every TRIO piece carries a distinctive signature charm featuring three fish moving together in harmony.

Across cultures, the fish has long been associated with prosperity, vitality, adaptability, and the continuous flow of life. For TRIO, the three fish represent the values that guide every creation: movement, balance, and connection.
Designed as a symbol of continuity and shared purpose, the charm reflects the meeting of design, craftsmanship, and functionality the three elements at the heart of the brand.
