Quality is the core of everything we do, it is fundamental to how we operate and is constantly upgraded and improved to meet the expectations of our customers.

We split our quality responsibilities between 2 teams; Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC). Both Heads of Department report directly to the VP of Operations.

QA are customer facing and have responsibility for the product up until the point of production, covering:

  • Compliance.
  • Product risk assessments.
  • Leather standards / approval
  • Product engineering
  • Gold seal and sampling approval
  • Product training and full handover to production.

QC take over once product hits the production floor, ensuring:

  • Leather and cut components meet customer requirements.
  • Construction and make is as per Gold seal.
  • Product has ‘eyes on’ throughout its journey on the floor.
  • QC reports are reviewed daily on each product throughout the duration of production.
  • Production meets the standards set by our customers.

Quality Compliance

  • International Testing Standards are followed for finished goods like Prop 65, CPSIA, China GB.
  • The Group has a well-established and dependable supply chain from LWG & REACH complaint tanneries from India/ Thailand/ Turkey/ Korea & Italy.
  • Fabrics & Hardware are sourced from REACH complaint sources in India/ China & Korea.
  • AQL inspection process.
  • Sharp Tools Policy.
  • Use of in house testing lab and testing’s carried out by established and reputed third party testing houses to test Raw Materials and Finished Products for compliance to customer standards.

Quality Control Process

  • We perform quality checks on all our incoming materials & at various stages of the manufacturing process from Leather cutting to finished product.
  • Our trained Quality Inspectors conduct thorough checks on finished goods for Aesthetics, Functional & Critical areas of Finished Products.
  • We perform AQL inspections on the packed shipments before despatch through the help of agencies like KPMG, BUREAU VERITAS, INTERTEK and SGS.
  • All our sharp tools are numbered & recorded.
  • Separate storing areas are allocated for sharp tools in our facilities.
  • Broken Needle policy is strictly monitored & recorded.
  • We practice a very stringent needle issue policy.
  • All sharp tools on tables/machines are secured for safety.
  • Three X-ray scanners are used to scan all the goods, piece by piece, before they are shipped as a safety measure to detect any metal object inadvertently left in the goods.

New Initiatives & Highlights

  • To keep pace with modern and efficient manufacturing techniques, the Group have adopted lean manufacturing in consultation with the same consultants who are associated with the other well-known groups following Lean system.
  • The Group have invested in a Product Engineering Department to bridge the gap between development & production to achieve top quality output.
  • Our Development Team is at the core of our success. They are constantly innovating with ideas, materials and patterns.
  • Each of our factories are equipped with their own development team of Sample Makers and Pattern Makers.
  • 100 members in the design, development & sampling team.
